Have you ever caught yourself wondering... how much do you even need to make?
A 60-minute working session for founders and EDs who have never actually sat down and done this math.
Wednesday, September 24 | Virtual | 60 minutes
You know how to run your business.
You know how to make payroll, cover overhead, keep the lights on. You know how to do all of it. But if I asked you the actual number, the one that covers your costs, pays your team, and pays you what you're worth, could you tell me in under thirty seconds?
Most founders can't. Not because they're bad with money. Because nobody ever sat down and walked them through the actual math. They're running on a number they picked two years ago, or a number their accountant mentioned once, or no number at all. Just a feeling that things are either fine or not fine.
The Cash Flow Clarity Workshop is a 60-minute session for founders, small business owners, and EDs who have never actually sat down to do the math. Or who have known they needed to and never did.
Who this is for?
Small business owners and nonprofit executive directors who have a P&L, a budget, or at least a bank account they check with some dread, and who have never worked out the specific number that tells them whether this month is actually working.
You don't need clean books. You don't need a finance background. You need an hour of focus and your rough numbers.
What you'll walk away with
The Cash Flow Clarity tool, yours to keep and use going forward
Your real monthly number: what you need to bring in to cover costs, pay yourself, and build a small cushion
A clear look at which of your costs are fixed and which are eating into your margin without you noticing
A simple way to check this number again next quarter, so it never goes two years without a look
How it works
We spend the hour live, working through the Cash Flow Clarity tool together. I'll walk you through exactly how to fill it out and how to use it going forward, using your own numbers, not a hypothetical example. Bring your rough numbers: what you spend monthly, what you currently pay yourself or take home, and any big expenses coming up. You'll leave with your number written down and the tool in hand, not a framework to apply later.
I'm Jennie Vader, an operations specialist based in Missoula, Montana.
I bring 15 years of organizational leadership and operations experience to this work. I've served as an Executive Director, Operations Manager, and President of DreamStart Labs, working across nonprofits, startups, and small businesses. I hold a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management, and credentials including Salesforce Certified Administrator, Certified Scrum Master, and a Professional Certificate in Impact Investing and Social Enterprise.
I've led organizations through growth, change, and the kind of operational complexity that doesn't show up in a job description. I know what it feels like to be inside a structure that hasn't kept up with where an organization needs to go, and I know what it takes to change that.
A few things before you register.
-
No. Rough numbers are enough. If you have a budget or P&L handy, bring it, but it's not required.
-
Yes! After our session a recording will be sent out to everyone who signed up. That way if something ends up pulling you away, you can still get all the needed information.
